Ashley made it to the second round of the science fair with her nail polish science exhibit. She chose this project based on her interest in acquiring five new bottles of nail polish and taking pictures of her nails. I think this just goes to show if you choose something you're truly interested in, the science part will just come to you. Ash really did a great job putting together her presentation and trying to understand the chemistry behind watching nail polish dry. Way to go, Ash!

What a clever idea - and SO Ashley!
that is really cool beause i am in sixth grade and i am doing the same project and if you could give me any tips i would be very happy and please tell me how you got everything done in this project
We looked at the ingredients listed in the nail polishes and googled drying agents in nail polish. Then we developed a hypothesis about which would dry fastest. Ashley painted her nails with each polish 3-4 times and made a little chart of how quickly they dried. Have fun with your project and good luck
